About the Summit
This inaugural event, hosted by Healthcare for the Homeless - Houston and featuring the 4th Annual Texas Street Medicine Symposium, brings together service providers, advocates, experts, and community leaders to explore the intersection of health and housing. Featuring keynotes, panels, workshops, and networking, attendees will gain actionable solutions, practical tools, and build stronger partnerships to promote health equity and housing stability.

  • Day 1 focuses on local efforts shaping health and housing in Houston. Attendees will hear from local experts on addressing challenges like chronic homelessness, health disparities, and social determinants of health. Workshops will offer thoughtful discussion and practical tools for integrating healthcare within a housing-first approach, helping participants strengthen partnerships in the health & housing continuum.

  • Day 2 focuses on street medicine, a model delivering medical care directly to unsheltered individuals. As part of the Texas Street Medicine Symposium, street medicine teams from across the state will share best practices and challenges in reaching those who lack access to traditional healthcare. Participants will explore how healthcare teams can provide compassionate, low-barrier care to people living on the streets.
